Who runs this site

The Career Translator is owned and operated by Corey Peterson as a sole proprietor based in the United States. For any privacy question or data request, email corey@careertranslator.co.

What I collect

Three things, in three different places:

• Email subscribers — when you drop an email to get the AI Starter Stack, join the trades waitlist, or subscribe to the newsletter, your first name (optional) and email address go to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email platform I use to send the newsletter and deliver the lead magnets. That's the only thing stored for subscribers.
• Free-tool inputs — when you use the Career Path Finder or the Job Posting Translator, your answers and the resulting output are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response. I do not store your answers on my servers. Anthropic processes the input according to their privacy policy ; per their commercial terms , they do not train models on API inputs without explicit opt-in.
• Basic analytics — Vercel Web Analytics records pageviews, referrer, country-level geography, device type, and a hashed identifier per visitor. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers. It exists so I can tell which pages people actually read.

What I don't collect

• Your real name (unless you email me)
• Your address, phone number, or payment details (Stan Store handles all purchases)
• Your location beyond country-level geography
• Anything via third-party trackers, pixels, or retargeting cookies

How your email is used

If you subscribed, you'll get the newsletter — frequency is "when I actually have something to say," which is currently 1–2 times a month. Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it removes you from the list in Kit immediately.

I will never sell, rent, or share your email with anyone. Period.

Payments

Digital products (prompt packs, bundles) are sold through Stan Store . Stan Store handles the checkout, payment processing, and delivery. I never see your card details. See Stan Store's privacy policy for what they collect.

Cookies

I don't use tracking cookies. The site may set one functional cookie if you submit a form (to prevent duplicate submissions) but there's no analytics or advertising cookie being dropped on you.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / general decency)

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

• Access — ask me what I have on you. Email me.
• Delete — ask me to delete everything. Email me or click the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
• Export — ask me for a copy of your data (it's just your email, but you can have it).
• Opt out — hit unsubscribe. You'll never hear from me again.

I'll honor any of those requests within 30 days.

Kids

This site isn't aimed at anyone under 16 and I don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you think I have data on a minor in your household, email me and I'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes meaningfully, I'll update the "last updated" date at the top and note it in a newsletter so subscribers know. If the change affects your data rights, I'll email the list directly.
